From candles to cookbooks, these are my top picks for Mother’s Day 2019.

Jo Malone London, Orange Blossom Cologne (CAD $198)

If you’re looking to spoil your mom this Mother’s Day, pick up one of these beautiful limited-edition bottles from Jo Malone. I’m always drawn to citrusy fragrances and the one above combines clementine, white lilac and orriswood to make the perfect Spring-time scent.

Paper Source, Cockatoo Tea Towels (CAD $27)

Add a little sunshine to your mom’s kitchen with these colourful tea towels. They kind of remind me of (more expensive) versions that I’ve seen at stores like Anthropologie–and if you know me, you know Anthropologie Home is the stuff my dreams are made of.

Madewell, Flannel Bedtime Pajamas (CAD $106)

This chic take on the classic pajama set comes in a simple print that a variety of moms will love. Nordstrom also offers a ton of other (equally cute) options by brands like J. Crew and Kate Spade.

Rifle Paper Co., Clear Blush Garden Party iPhone Cover (CAD $46)

I’ve had a long-time love affair with Rifle Paper Co. Their beautiful prints transform any simple object (coffee mug, phone case, notebook etc.) into something special and unique.

Paper Source, You Are So Loved Trinket Dish (CAD $21)

Just a sweet little message to remind your mom how much you care. (And the perfect spot to store rings, hair clips etc.)

Indigo, Magnolia Table (CAD $26)

How can I even begin to explain my love for Joanna and Chip Gaines? They make me want to move to Waco, Texas and cover all the walls of my refurbished farm house with shiplap. Turns out, Joanna has many talents outside of home renos and is also a bomb cook. I have this book and it’s full of comforting recipes like Shepherd’s Pie and Chicken and Dumplings.

Photography courtesy of Dior

Dior, Rouge Dior Limited Edition Couture Colour Lipstick (CAD $50)

Dior is bringing out new limited-edition lipsticks for Mother’s Day, combining the original Couture Colour lipstick formula with the fragrance of Dior’s iconic J’adore perfume. She’ll love throwing one of these pretty rosy shades in her purse.

Paper Source, Wonder Woman Mug (CAD $24)

Remind your mom that she’s your superhero with this mug depicting Wonder Woman illustrations from the 1940s to present day.

Photography courtesy of Crystal Hills Organics

Crystal Hills Organics, Crystal Love Bath Salts (CAD $44)

This might be the most beautiful item in my bathroom. For me, baths are super restorative and always makes me feel so much better after a long or particuarly hard day. This jar of bath salts smells just like rose blossoms and has healing and purifying properties. Crystal Hills Organics is also a great company, donating a percentage of all profits to multiple charities across the globe.

Photography courtesy of Anthropologie

Anthropologie, Wrapped U-Hoop Earrings (CAD $65)

I love these earrings from Anthropologie. They’re super trendy and fun, but still simple enough to appease a picky mom. When summer rolls around, these will be a staple for her.

ban.dō, Getaway Passport Holder (CAD $24)

I’ve spent one too many hours browsing around ban.dō’s website and I think many of their items make the perfect gifts for a variety of occasions. This passport case comes in seven different patterns–I especially love this floral version.

Cardea AuSet, NOIRE Charcoal Mask (CAD $38)

This Canadian brand made it into Kourtney Kardashian’s recent VIP Poosh Gift Box. Give your mom a piece of that experience with this great Poosh-approved face mask that uses detoxifying charcoal.

Society6, Geometric Moontime 1 Yoga Mat (CAD $53)

Society6 has a plethora of beautiful yoga mats in every print imaginable. If your mom is a yogi or just needs a mat for some at-home exercise, scroll through their site to find the perfect one for her.

Paper Source, Notes For Mom Box (CAD $21)

Amazon recently conducted a Mother’s Day survey and found that 83% of Moms want to receive gifts that are thoughtful or handmade. I know this is especially true for my own mom. Get your whole family to write individual letters or little notes with something they love about her and then present it all in this cute box. The best gifts are always personal.

NEST, Grapefruit Reed Diffuser (CAD $68)

NEST is one of my go-to gifting brands and you can’t go wrong with one of their diffusers. From fresh grapefruit to warm apricot tea, find the scent that fits her best.

Photography courtesy of Anthropologie

Anthropologie, Slip Pure Silk Sleep Mask (CAD $67)

These silk sleep masks from Anthropologie come in cucumber, watermelon and peach designs. Pair one with a calming lavender pillow spray for the ultimate bedtime gift set.

Photography courtesy of Niyama

Niyama, Daytime Zen Stress Support (CAD $40)

Niyama is a Canadian company comitted to helping people find a moment of zen in their busy day-to-day routines. This product uses natural ingredients to help alleviate stress and anxiety, including L-theanine, an amino acid found in green tea and Ashwagandha, a herb often referred to as the “Indian ginseng”. taïla, Prana Face Oil (CAD $138)

I’m a big advocate for face oils. If your mom isn’t someone that’s really into skincare then you should convince her to at least get on the serum train! This one in particular has anti-aging properties, treats discolouration and helps eradicate blemishes, dullness and dry skin. taïla is also Leaping Bunny Certified and cruelty free!

Photography courtesy of Saje

Saje, Pocket Farmacy (CAD $60)

I love to give this product as a gift and carry mine with me wherever I go. This little pack has all the essential oils you need. From Saje’s star product, Peppermint Halo (which helps get rid of mid-day headaches) to Eater’s Digest (which works wonders with any stomach discomfort) I can not say enough about this set.

Photography courtesy of Nordstrom

Diptyque, 34 Le Redouté Scented Candle (CAD $120)

And for the grand finale, if you have the cash to splurge on something a little extra for your mom, get her anything from Diptyque. Is $120 a little much to be spending on a candle? Maybe. But as a candle hoarder, lover and collector, I have to say that when it comes to this French luxury brand, I think it’s worth it.
