Say Hello to Kaja, Sephora’s New K-Beauty Line

There are certain things that we associate with specific places. For example, I can’t think of high fashion without also thinking of Milan. And in that same way, when I think about beauty the destination that automatically comes to mind is South Korea.

You’ve heard of K-Pop, but have you heard of K-Beauty? I’d be surprised if you hadn’t. If my past interviews with beauty industry leaders have taught me anything, it’s that we should be looking towards Korea for the future of makeup and skincare.

Sephora has undoubtedly caught on, and their newest brand Kaja-which literally translates to ‘Let’s go’ in Korean–is the perfect addition to their ever-expanding lineup.

But this brand is a little different from Sephora’s other recent additions. The company actually partnered up with Memebox, a Korean beauty service, to create the line. It’s Sephora’s first ever Korean collaboration.

Another aspect that makes it stand out from the pack? Well, they didn’t just choose the name Kaja because it sounds cute. The translated term perfectly explains it’s customer–someone who’s constantly on the go. And in this day and age, who isn’t?

The collection, which includes a whopping 47 products already, is filled with “bite-sized” pieces that are perfect for anybody who’s in a rush–or just appreciates things that come fun-sized.

The names are fun, too. From the Beauty Bento Bouncy Shimmer Eyeshadow Trio to the Mochi Pop Bouncy Blush. There’s even a Cat Nap Under Eye Brightener. The price is also right, with everything coming in under $30.

From “bouncy” formulas to lip stains and balms, it seems like this is the perfect brand if you’re looking for that fresh-faced natural beauty. And the stackable eyeshadows–which are giving some major Melt Cosmetics vibes–seem ideal for travel. This certainly is an easy, breezy collection and now that it’s available in stores, I can’t wait to try it out.
