10 Pieces to Pick Up From Anthropologie’s Fall 2018 Home Collection

Anthropologie is one of my favourite shopping destinations, especially when it comes to their home section. From candles to crockery, this company perfectly encaptures the eccentric Bohemian vibe that I love.

The store recently released their Fall 2018 Home Collection and I combed through the new releases to find my ten favourite things. From tasseled lampshades to lustered wine glasses, these are the items I have my eye on.

It’s also the perfect time to shop, with Anthropologie offering a 20% discount on home items this weekend.

1. Jimena Occasional Chair ($998)

If I had this chair in my home it would definitely be used a little more than occasionally. The whimsical embroidery on these coverings is quintessential Anthropologie and the quirky illustrations make these chairs the perfect accent pieces for any room.

2. All Roads Texture-Striped Flatweave Rug 5′ x 8′ ($398)

Anyone who knows me knows how much I appreciate a cute tassel and thankfully, Anthropologie seems to attach them to basically everything. This flatweave rug is no exception and the colours, which range from mustard yellow to dusty pink, perfectly encapture the feeling of fall.

3. Odetta Desk ($1,698)

Something about this desk makes me feel like I’d get so much more work done at it–or at least that’s what I’d tell myself to justify the (hefty) cost. This elegant piece has the perfect mixture of vintage glamour and trendy modernity. The gold accents really elevate the simple white desk space. I also have to shout out the incredible velvet salmon-coloured chair.

4. Eastern Animal Dessert Plate ($14)

Anthropologie consistently delivers some of the most unique crockery on the market. How could you go back to using simple white plates after seeing these? From elephants to zebras, these far-east inspired dessert plates will make your apple pie look all the more delicious this fall.

5. Embellished Half Moon Lamp Shade ($98)

Here we are back in tassel town again–you can refer back to number two for a reminder on my affinity for the little tufts. This lamp, in particular, is great because the neutral colours make it a timeless piece that would work in many homes, but the tassels add an element of fun that elevate it from an (otherwise basic) lampshade.

6. Feather Collection Bar Cabinet ($2,798)

This piece has a retro vibe to it and I love the attention to detail in terms of the gold interior doors. The mint exterior provides an incredible pop of colour and the roomy shelving means there’s enough room for a full bar. Bar carts may be in right now but this cabinet is about to give them a run for their money.

7. Lustered Wine Glasses, Set of 4 ($40)

So now that we’ve got our alcohol cabinet, we’ll need some glasses. These new ones are particularly fun and feature a soft iridescent finish. I like that the colouring is subtle enough to not be considered tacky, but still provides a unique look. Purchase them in a set of four.

8. Feather Collection Accent Chair ($998)

When I think fall, I think jewel tones and velvety finishes and this accent chair has both of those things. The scalloped edges really make a statement, but the chair on a whole remains a classic piece. It also comes in a soft light grey and rosewater pink.

9. Gulliver Console ($1,298)

This console perfectly marries oriental and bohemian styles. The legs even read mid-century modern. The piece in its entirety, however, somehow manages to work perfectly, despite its overlapping references.

10. Composite Agate Cheese Board ($78)

Something I love even more than tassels is cheese and this cheese board is one of the most stunning I’ve seen. At your next wine and cheese night, ditch your classic wooden board in favour of something like this beautiful agate stone platter.
